The Dorothy Griffihs Breast Cancer Appeal Fund raised money, originally, for improving the treatment and support of people suffering from breast cancer. In the past, the money raised has been used to improve the 'quiet room', at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire's Oncology directorate. It has also been used to purchase a specialist scanning machine. Our charity also proposes to fund improvements including the refurbishment of the patio area on Ward 1. These are just some examples of the ways that monies raised have been and will be used in the future - for the benefit of ALL local cancer patients, treated at our local hospital. Unfortunately, the list of requirements is endless and as cancer has not been eradicated yet, we still need as much support as anyone can give - from volunteers, fundraisers, through donations, sponsorship and legacies.
This is why one group of people came together to create this original music single "We'll Stand Together". Representing people's conviction and support for the charity and its purpose.
